The Princess Inaara Foundation supports the activities and projects of the aid organisation SOS Projects for People and Animals. Amongst the various projects, SOS Projects operates a farm called ‘Sonnenhof’ in Bavaria, Germany.

At Sonnenhof, people and animals meet in a warm and natural environment, and rescued dogs find a temporary home before they move on to loving families who adopt them. Many of the SOS dogs have a gentle and loving character and therefore can be used, during their stay at Sonnenhof, as little therapists for handicapped, ill and traumatized children. As ‘therapists on four paws’ the dogs return a thousand fold the love they receive from the Sonnenhof care team. The Sonnenhof dogs also regularly visit children in hospitals and rehabilitation centres. SOS Projects also promotes the awareness of cruelty against animals, runs classes for the children to learn how to treat and handle animals, rescues neglected and abandoned dogs and nurses them back to health at Sonnenhof.
