The Nobel peace laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus gave a speech at the “Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften” ( Austrian Academy of Arts & Sciences.) on possible new directions for world economies and how to improve capitalism in order to bring about a change for a better world.
“First class policies for education, health and the economy will be of vital importance for the future of Germany following the election in the autumn”, says the Begum.
Begum Inaara Aga Khan joined other activists and philanthropists at Google’s Annual “Zeitgeist” Conference in Hertfordshire. Since its launch in 2005, “Zeitgeist” has become a platform for leading visionaries, entrepreneurs, politicians, activists and philanthropists.
A great charity appeal has concluded with a wonderful result. The Princess Inaara Foundation in collaboration with the UP Micro-Loans and the Passauer Neue Presse collected €564,677.19 in donations from the people of Passau, Germany through “Forgotten Children of India” appeal.
The Begum attended the 2009 annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Her Highness took part in a number of sessions and workshops on poverty eradication, global educational initiatives and interfaith dialogue.
