The Begum Aga Khan celebrates her traditional German Advent at the Sonnenhof.
As every year the founders of the charity SOS Projects for People and Animals in need personally invited their friends and supporters with their families to gather at the Sonnenhof for a festive pre-Christmas celebration.
Around 1000 guests attended the event at The Sonnenhof. Here they enjoyed the Advents celebrations with traditional music and choir, gourmet delights, and many other attractions.
The guests were delighted by the attendance of the Austrian folk music star Hansi Hinterseer. He came from Kitzbühel with his wife Romana and daughter Jessica, and they are all great dog lovers. , Renate Thyssen-Henne, founder and president of SOS Projects personally showed Hansi Hinterseer and his family around the Sonnenhof, a temporary home for rescued dogs.
Amongst the celebrity guests and supporters was the German presenter Caroline Reiber, German actress Gritt Boettcher and for the first time the German presenter and actress Sonja Weissensteiner with her Baby daughter Hanna.
Like the years before, the highlight of the event was a giant raffle with generous prizes donated by sponsors of SOS- Projects, like FC Bayern Munich, FIFA, British Airways, Galeria Kaufhof, Escada, Gabriele Blachnik, McDonald`s, Global Wines, Feinkost Käfer, Collection Rolf Heyne, ProfiMiet GmbH, Stollwerck, GOP Variete Theater and 7days music / Sony Music.
All proceeds from the sale of the raffle, without any deduction, were donated to SOS Projects for the benefit of the rescued animals.
