DLD Conference 2010

26th January 2010, Munich, Germany

Begum Inaara Aga Khan took part in the annual Digital Life Design (DLD) Conference at HVB Forum on 26th January, 2010 in Munich, Germany.

The DLD conference seeks to combine the thoughts and talents of entrepreneurs, philanthropists, scientists, artists, investors, philosophers and creative thinkers from all over the world and to serve as a platform for progress in a time of change. It is a melting pot of ideas, experiences and inspirations as well as being a starting point for new partnerships, investments and business development.

Inaara Aga Khan delivered a warm welcome to economist and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus. Professor Yunus called for increased investment in social businesses to tackle the world’s most pressing problems such as poverty and health care.

DLD was founded by Stephanie Czerny and Marcel Reichart in 2005 to develop a global community for digital innovation and beyond. DLD is chaired by Hubert Burda, founder of Hubert Burda Media and art historian, and Yossi Vardi, a serial investor in digital projects. Throughout the year the DLD community meets in various styles and formats around the globe, including DLD dinners and events in Palo Alto, London, Tel Aviv, Moscow and New York.
