The Begum and Prof. Yunus discussed investments in Social Development

The Nobel peace laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus gave a speech at the “Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften” ( Austrian Academy of Arts & Sciences.) on possible new directions for world economies and how to improve capitalism in order to bring about a change for a better world.
After his address, Professor Yunus met with Dr. Gabriele Inaara Begum Aga Khan in a small select group. They discussed methods and impact of investment in social development, including the micro-loan projects supported by the Begum in India. They also attended a dinner hosted by LGT Bank which included leading Austrian entrepreneurs interested in investing into the eradication of poverty in order to achieve the millennium development goals.
