Appeal for India's forgotten children

Generous donations in excess of a half million Euros for poor families in India

10. March, 2009 - Munich, Germany

A great charity appeal has concluded with a wonderful result. The Princess Inaara Foundation in collaboration with the UP Micro-Loans and the Passauer Neue Presse collected €564,677.19 in donations from the people of Passau, Germany through “Forgotten Children of India” appeal.

The appeal was launched in December, 2008 and ran for 8 weeks until the end of January, 2009. The empathy of the people of Passau in times of crisis knew no bounds. This generous donation has made it possible for the Princess Inaara Foundation to make available micro loans and to fund health projects in the southern Indian State of Tamilnadu. The donation is being provided directly to the local aid organizations without any charges or deductions for administrative costs. This donation will enable local aid organizations to provide help for around 50,000 more families living in poverty to make a fresh start with their lives.
